Our goal is to enhance the graphics of Gothic 1 without losing its original charm.
There is no official release date and we do not give a percentage of our progress. Our last demo should have showed you what to expect and that we are not far away from our goal.
Yes and no, the Gothic Reloaded Mod is primarily a graphic mod. But we will integrate an expansion mod into our installer. At first, "Die Welt der Verurteilten" was intended for this, but currently it would be the "Definitive Edition". Contrary to earlier statements, an installation as patch is no longer intended.
Since the release of Gothic the hardware has evolved a lot, but the software has hardly changed. We are currently unable to further improve the graphics due to the technical design of the engine, so that the Gothic Reloaded Mod will now run on an average gaming PC.
This mod is licensed under the CC BY-NC 4.0 licence. The mod-kit for Gothic 1 may only be used for non-commercial purposes, which is ensured by using this license. At the same time it allows you to modify our content and use it in other mods as long as our name is given.
New members who have already gained experience are always welcome. Unfortunately, the training of beginners has not proved to be a successful model. If you would like to support our project financially, you are welcome to make a donation.
